Golfing camaraderie

The 2nd Bellevue Cup, riding on the heels of the success of the first one, was once again a huge success. Aimed at fostering friendship among Alabang’s movers and shakers as well as the hotel’s loyal friends, the golf tournament was definitely one of Alabang’s major events of the year.

At the Alabang Country Club, the golfers made the most of the game and competed hard against each other on the challenging 18-hole golf course while enjoying the close camaraderie with friends and golf buddies.

The hotel’s Laguna Ballroom was lavishly decorated for the awarding ceremonies, which the players enthusiastically attended.

A stack of raffle prizes were given away such as ipodshuffles, large screen TV sets, cellular phones, digital cameras, vacation holidays and golf equipment.

For entertainment, fast-rising comedienne Tuesday Vargas dazzled the audience with her naughty innuendoes and hilarious spiels. Your columnist served as master of ceremonies for the evening.

Congratulations to the indefatigable Johnny Chan, Bellevue general manager Patrick Chan, Bellevue marketing and communications director Ryan Chan, sales and marketing director Aileen de Gracia, marketing services coordinator Jehn Domingo, and to all the players!

Boracay’s latest

Boracay Regency and Beach Resort, the first triple-A rated resort in Boracay, has just gotten bigger and better!

The Boracay Regency’s Third Wing and Convention Center, further proof of chairman Henry Chusuey’s commitment to world-class service and facilities, were inaugurated recently at the expansive beachfront of the resort. The ribbon-cutting ceremonies were led by Iloilo Councilor Ramon Cua Locsin, Aklan Gov. Joeben Miraflores, Iloilo Mayor Jerry Treñas, Malay Mayor Ciceron Cawaling, Henry Sy, Emilio Cua Locsin Sr. and your columnist.

Energetic comedienne Giselle Sanchez hosted the event, and Viva Hot Babe Vanessa provided entertainment that had the men’s heart a-pumping.

After the blessing of the new areas, the ritual throwing of coins was held for good fortune. Then a sumptuous dinner was served, courtesy of the resort’s superb chefs. Indeed, everyone was duly impressed with the elegant new wing, which brings the total number of rooms at the resort to 195.

The new azure blue, crystal-clear swimming pool was right at the doorstep of some of the rooms in the ground floor. The convention center, the only one in the area, boasts of a 600-person capacity and the latest audio-visual tools. It’s another crowning achievement!
