MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Jejomar Binay joined some of those in the audience during Sunday's vice presidential debate in reacting to Sen. Antonio "Sonny" Trillanes's statement on corruption.
"Si Vice President Binay ay nangurakot. Nobody can change that... Nakita ko mismo, na-interview ko ang mga testigo at nakita ko ang mga dokumento," Trillanes said.
The camera then showed Binay among his supporters booing Trillanes's allegation.

Trillanes, a vice presidential candidate, is among the members of the Senate blue ribbon subcommittee who launched an investigation into corruption allegations against Binay. The panel held 25 hearings on the alleged anomalies under Binay's administration as mayor of Makati City.
Binay refused to participate in the proceedings but denied all allegations saying the questioned projects were cleared by the Commission on Audit.
