Text and call center facility for election concerns relaunched

 

MANILA, Philippines - Ateneo de Manila University-based Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan (SLB), the sociopolitical arm of the Society of Jesus in the Philippines, relaunched its text and call center facility “Gabay Halalan” to deliver appropriate and balanced information on the upcoming May 13 elections.

Gabay Halalan provides voters with precinct finders, candidate profiles—senatorial and local candidates, party list profiles and election information. The call and text center facility is open for election-related questions that voters can access through their mobile

phones.

The text and call center facility has approximately 150 volunteers. Operations started last Monday, April 22 up to May 5 (9 a.m.-5 p.m.), May 6 to 10 (8 a.m.-8 p.m.), and May 11 to 13 (24 hours). Their headquarters are located at Room 313, CTC, Ateneo de Manila University. Gabay Halalan is is SLB’s project in partnership with the Ateneo de Manila, Ateneo Task Force 2013, Globe, iVolunteer, Miriam College, Legal Network for Truthful Elections and Magis Solutions.
