AWOL = Absent, with only love

COVERT OPS. A soldier recently confessed to The EAR he went absent without leave for a night. Coming from assignment in a restive area in Mindanao, his unit recently returned to their camp near where his wife and child lived. However, their commanding officer didn’t give express orders allowing leave.

He snuck out of the camp the night before they were due for redeployment just to be with his family for a few hours. He was back in camp before they moved out.

“Basta saktohon lang nimo og istorya ang sarhento sa gate makasabot ra man sad na sila,” he said.
