Leni Robredo, puppet or plotter?

HOTSPOT - Mocha Uson - The Philippine Star

Not all battles are fought in the light, some are fought in the shadows. Yellow minions are moving behind the curtain to oust a duly elected President. They are using every issue they could use to paint themselves as “good” and their enemy, Duterte, as “bad”. They want to feed the people  the notion that this is a battle between good and evil and that everyone must side with them because they are “decent” and “good”; which wouldn’t be so hard to sell to the people because they even have the support of CBCP. However, are they the real deal or are they just pretending in order to gather support for their plan to overthrow Duterte? Are they really fighting for what is right or are they just using any issue to put them back in power?

A source said that a certain party is grooming Vice President Leni Robredo to be the next Cory Aquino, but which version of the late President? The version where she supposedly symbolizes democracy or the version where she was said to be controlled by her cabinet members?  If we look at some circumstances, we can see that her actions are either calculated or controlled. Firstly, she only gives vague statements that she “supports” all the positive action of the Duterte administration, but she can go to every detail when talking about what they don’t want about the President. Secondly, instead of focusing on the President’s order to speed-up the housing projects for the victims of Typhoon Yolanda, she and the mainstream media decided to shift the focus on the President’s remarks about her knees – I guess, for them, that’s more important than the Yolanda victims. Lastly, she openly voices out her opposition on some of the President’s actions but stays quiet about the shortcomings of the previous administration.

Truth is, I used to admire her when she was still a Congresswoman, but now it seems that she’s either becoming a plotter because of her hunger for power or she’s just a puppet to the people who wants to stay in control of our country. Now that she’s out of the Cabinet, it’s clear that she will head the opposition but that is better than having a spy inside the group trusted by the President. Only time will tell now if Vice President Leni is the plotter, or a puppet.

Furthermore, if she’s truly fighting for the ordinary Filipinos, where was she when the drug problem was growing rampant in our country and destroying the lives of Filipinos? Where was she when drug addicts are killing and raping innocent children? Where was she when there are politicians and government officials involved in the drug trade? Where was she when the “Laglag-bala” incidents in NAIA are increasing to the point that passengers are covering their baggage, afraid that someone would put a bullet in their belongings. Where was she when a lot of relief goods for Yolanda victims got spoiled? Where was she when the process of the housing projects for the Yolanda victims has been so slow all these years?

Most of the problems that the Duterte administration are currently facing are the same problems that previous administrations left behind and did nothing about when they had their chance.

“Laglag-bala” was resolved because it was treated as a government problem, unlike the claim of Mr. Roxas that it is not the government’s problem.

More than 700,000 drug addicts and pushers have surrendered and because of this a lot of people are safe from the harm they could bring. Major drug rehab centers are also being built to cater to the drug dependents and help them change their lives. Politicians and government officials who are suspected to be involved in the drug trade are now being revealed. President Duterte and his administration has achieved a lot more, achievements that his political enemies won’t even acknowledge because of their thirst for power or personal agendas. We won’t even need the change Duterte stands for if these oligarchs and yellow minions were not too busy fattening their wallets. Don’t hate him for doing what they should have done when they were still in power; serve the Filipino people.

So, oust Duterte? I say no. I refuse to put back the power to the same group of politicians who let the drug problem grow and pollute our country. I refuse to give the power back to the politicians who only cares for the ordinary people every election and/or when they need their support. I refuse to support the same group of politicians who are using their positions to fight with the President in every corner and just criticize all his actions when they should be helping the government improve our country and the lives of every Filipino; that is their duty to the people who voted for them but it seems they are only interested in their duty to their political party.

Now, regarding the fight between Bongbong Marcos and Vice President Leni Robredo, if you are planning to use it against the President, I support what Senator Cayetano said to leave the president out of it. She maliciously implied that her “resignation” is a part of a plot to remove her as vice president but she seemed stumped when kabayan Noli De Castro asked her a simple question: “So paano mananakaw sa inyo ang posisyon na kayo naman ay halal?” If Bongbong will replace Leni as Vice President, it will not be because of the President but because it is proven that you cheated last election. If you have nothing to hide, then let them protest and investigate all they want because they won’t find anything, right?

Not all battles are fought in the light, some are fought in the shadows, but because of social media we can expose your every move, we can expose you for who you truly are: pretending warriors of the light and plotters with a heart as dark as the night.
