Why did the Emir of Qatar leave so quickly?

The Emir of Qatar, Sheik Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani was in the country for a two-day state visit, but after being in the country for only four hours, he and his entourage suddenly left for home. As usual, Palace spokesperson Abigail Valte made excuses saying, “We were advised beforehand by the Qatari Ambassador that the Emir had to attend to an urgent meeting back home.” We know too well that Abigail Valte suffers from a severe reputation of always issuing statements that really do not tell us the entire story.

For us in Cebu, the Emir’s visit was of high importance because we should have sent a delegation to meet the Qatari ruler and convince him to return the Cebu to Qatar direct flights, which was officially terminated last March 26. As the Palace communiqué’ pointed out, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported that the visit of the Emir was successful. DFA spokesperson Raul Hernandez said, “Agreements on tourism, legal cooperation and agri/fisheries, apart from one with the PCCI-Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry cooperation.”

But what are those agreements? All I can say is, “The devil is in the details.” Since they are not telling us what they are, how can we say that the Emir’s visit was successful? Until we see what was written in those tourism agreements, we will withhold our comments. But whether the Aquino Regime likes it or not, for us in Cebu, the disappearance of Qatar Airways from Cebu skies is not a good sign for our tourism industry.

Having visited Qatar a few years ago, we learned so much about the benevolence of the Emir of Qatar. One of them is his allowing religious freedom, where he allowed a Catholic Church to be built on a property that he gave. This is because he knows that almost all the Filipino workers there are Catholic. Ifa Cebuano delegation met the Emir and explained our need for Qatar Airways to fly again to Cebu, he would surely have listened to us.

Last Monday, we wrote an intensive article about the message of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Fatima, where she appeared from May 13 to Oct. 13, 1917. I did get a lot of responses on that article, mostly from friends who told me that they never realized the importance of the Fatima message to the world. I did get a sharp rebuke from a member of a Catholic group (I will not mention their name because he may not be authorized to use it) that the prophecies of our Immaculate Mother were already fulfilled.

To those who say or insist that the prophecies of Fatima were already fulfilled, there are only two questions (this is the response I gave to the one who emailed me) that I will ask of them.First, has Russia been converted? You can check this out yourself in Google.

While it is true that Russia finally got rid of Communism, it has not yet converted to the Catholic Church. I am of the firm belief that the Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ would not make a prophecy that Russia would convert to the Orthodox Church, which is still officially separated from the main stream Catholic Church. If Russia has not yet converted to Catholicism, then the prophecy of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Fatima remains unfulfilled to this day.

The second question is: Do we finally have world peace? Just open your TV sets or read the headline news in our local and national dailies and you will see a very belligerent North Korea, killings in Syria and violence in Africa. No sir, we still do not have world peace because the Vatican has not heeded the request of our Holy Mother until today.

As I mentioned, the 3rd Secret of Fatima talks about the apostasy within the highest ranks in the Catholic Church. Why then would the Blessed Virgin Mary say, “In Portugal, the dogma of the faith will be preserved.” Yet nothing follows after our Blessed Mother made that statement. This is why Catholic writer Antonio Socci said that the 3rd Secret was not revealed to the public in full, which is why he wrote the book, “The 4th Secret of Fatima.”

I’m writing these articles because somehow, I felt that God is using me to spread the message of Fatima so that our people would know the truth. There are many instances in my life today that compels me to do so. Just last Tuesday, we had a meeting with the Task Force for Families and Life (TFFL) and my Tita Auring Yap showed me a pamphlet entitled “Mary appears at the Three Fountains of Rome” by Fr. Adolfo Faroni.

I didn’t read the book until two days (meaning yesterday) later and you know what? It turned out to be exactly the 32nd anniversary of the apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Three Fountains. Coincidence? But let me point out that the message of Fatima is similar to all the messages in our Lady’s previous apparitions: Pray, pray, pray the Rosary and repent, go to confession and take Holy Communion so you can save your own soul.
