This congressman wants to change his vote

ONE VOTE LESS. Congressman Sonny Belmonte Jr. was elected Speaker of the House of Representatives in a historic landslide election with 227 votes against only 29 of Rep. Edcel Lagman. Now it seems that the congressman from Albay should only have 28 votes. An Ear informer said that the controversial congressman from Dinagat didn’t mean to vote for Rep. Lagman but for Rep. Belmonte. The Ear heard that he now wants to change his vote in favor of Rep. Belmonte.

SLIP OF TONGUE? The Dinagat congressman was heard saying that he wants to change his vote because he wants to join the majority. He said that during the votation for speakership, he was really planning to vote for Rep. Belmonte but when his name was called, the name that came out of his mouth was “Lagman.” A mediaman who heard this commented, “Unya, unsa man ni? Slip of tongue or change of mind?”
