Sen. Santiago's speech during Senate hearing draws various reactions

CHINA INVENTED CORRUPTION? The Ear heard that the speech of Senator Miriam Santiago during the Senate Hearing of the ZTE deal is the talk of the town nowadays. Many were amused at her speech that China may have invented civilization but it also invented “corruption.” The Ear heard many agree with the Senator while the same speech made many Filipino-Chinese fuming mad.

DEFENDING THE CHINESE. One Chinese businessman was heard by an Ear informer, defending his homeland. He said, “Not true na China invented corruption. Kana Miriam (Santiago) anti-Chinese man na siya. Dugay na siya lagot namo Intsik.”
