Wrong medicine dispensed because of doctor's bad handwriting

WRONG MEDICINE. A housewife is thinking of taking legal action against a drugstore whose salesgirl made a mistake in filling the prescription for a medicine she bought. She said the prescription was for arthritic pain but she was given a medicine for urinary tract infection. "The error was committed because the doctor's handwriting could hardly be read," she said.

She said there ought to be a law penalizing doctors who write like chicken scratches on their prescription pad. "Kinabuhi sa pasyente ang nakataya," she said.
