Cases involving US troops in Philippines before 'Jennifer'

MANILA, Philippines - There is a growing clamor in Congress for the review of the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA), which is being supported by ?Malacañang, due to the recent killing of 26-year-old Filipino transgender Jennifer Laude allegedly by a US marine.

Laude, based on the official autopsy reports, died from asphyxia by drowning and found naked in a motel toilet room in Olongapo City where the suspect, Joseph Scott Pemberton, checked in with her. The suspect is currently in the custody of the US.
