MANILA, Philippines — Dog lovers can adopt 26 retired explosive detection dogs of the Philippine National Police.
The PNP Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Canine Unit (EOD-K9) said the dogs have served and protected the country from threats for the past eight years.
The canines, mostly Belgian Malinois breed, were showcased by their handlers at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig yesterday.
For details about the screening and adoption process, interested adopters may call M/Sgt. Manny Molina at 0946-4090044.
To ensure that the dogs are receiving proper care, Molina said the EOD-K9 would check on the adopted canines every quarter.
