‘Brains’ in Subic murder nabbed upon arrival from Malaysia

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — The alleged mastermind in the murder of a businessman in Subic Bay, Olongapo has been transported to the country from Malaysia.
Alan Dennis Sytin, 51, was arrested upon arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 on Friday night by members of the Central Luzon police.
Sytin was accused of ordering the murder of his brother Dominic Sytin, president and chief executive officer of the United Auctioneers Inc., who was fatally shot near the Lighthouse Hotel in Subic in November 2018.
The arrest was based on a warrant issued by Judge Caroline Tobias of the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 7.
No bail was recommended for Sytin’s temporary liberty, according to Central Luzon police director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo.
Sytin, who has a P10-million bounty on his head, was first arrested in a club in Petaling Jaya, Selangor on March 22 by the Royal Malaysian police. — Rudy Santos
