MANILA, Philippines — A stand-up comedian was shot dead in a bar in Angeles, Pampanga on Saturday.
Goldenier Dagal, 38, alias Gold Dagal, died while being treated in a hospital where he was rushed by bystanders.
Dagal was known for his jokes that supposedly threw shade on a religious group and its leader.
The victim was in Mayari Beer House in Barangay Ninoy Aquino when three men approached him at past 9 p.m. One of the men drew a gun and shot Dagal.
Witnesses said the suspects were wearing white and red shirts, ball caps and face masks.
