MANILA, Philippines — Angat Dam continued to release water yesterday as its water level remained above normal high.

As of 6 a.m. yesterday, two spill gates of Angat Dam remained open at one meter.

The water level in the dam was at 213. 29 meters, slightly higher than its normal high elevation of 212 meters.

Meanwhile, the water level in Ipo dam was at 100.88 meters compared to its high elevation of 101 meters. One spill gate remained open at .70 meters.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the northeast monsoon and shear line are expected to continue to bring significant amount of rain until Christmas day.

Around 50 to 100 millimeters of rain are forecast over Cagayan, Apayao, Isabela, Quirino, Aurora and the northern portion of Quezon until tomorrow.

PAGASA said the easterlies and localized thunderstorms would bring isolated rains over Bicol, Palawan, the Visayas and Mindanao.
