2 drug suspects nabbed in Zambo stings
MANILA, Philippines — Two suspected drug traffickers were arrested in separate stings in Zamboanga peninsula on Friday.
Alnajir Aharin, 29, was collared in Barangay San Roque, Zamboanga City at around 1:35 a.m., according to Maj. Shellamie Chang, spokesperson for the Zamboanga peninsula police.
Aharin allegedly sold a sachet of shabu worth P70,000 to undecover agents.
Meanwhile, in Zamboanga Sibugay, police arrested Mohammad Jajuri Usab following a sting in Barangay Magdaup, Ipil town, which resulted in the seizure of shabu with an estimated street value of P47,600.
Apart from illegal drugs, Usab yielded a .45-caliber pistol and a phone, police said.
Drug charges will be filed againts the suspects.
A separate complaint for illegal possession of firearms will be filed against Usab, police said.
