Camp Vicente Lim, Laguna, Philippines — Police have identified the person who robbed and killed 24-year-old Leanne Daguinsin, a graduating student of De La Salle University (DLSU) in Dasmariñas City in Cavite, on Tuesday.

Col. Christopher Olazo, Cavite police director, said Angelito Erlano was caught on closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera while talking to someone on the day he robbed the victim at a dormitory in Barangay San Nicholas 2.

The shirt used by the suspect and a backpack were recovered during a raid on his house on Wednesday.

Philippine National Police chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr. said Erlano was arrested for robbery last year.

Meanwhile, the reward for information that could lead to the arrest of the killer is now P1.1 million after Cavite fourth district Rep. Elpidio Barzaga Jr. and Dasmariñas Mayor Jennifer Barzaga contributed 100,000 each while the city government offered P300,000.

Sen. Bong Revilla and Cavite Gov. Jonvic Remulla had earlier offered a reward of P300,000 each. — Emmanuel Tupas
