Construction worker dead in Mountain Province landslide

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — A construction worker died while two others were injured when a landslide occurred at the compound of the government-run Luis Hora Memorial Hospital in Barangay Abatan in Bauko, Mountain Province on Wednesday.

Rodante Laluan, a resident of Pozorrubio, Pangasinan, died on the way to a hospital, where Mark Steve Nabor and Rocky Bernes are now in stable condition.

Initial investigation showed the three were installing a steel footing when the soil collapsed.  

Personnel of the Bureau Fire Protection and local police conducted rescue operations.
