Manila bettor wins P50.7 million lotto prize

MANILA, Philippines — A bettor in Sampaloc, Manila won the Regular Lotto 6/42 jackpot amounting to P50.7 million on Tuesday night.

Melquiades Robles, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office general manager and vice chairman of the board, said the bettor guessed the winning combination 26-14-11-08-07-22, which had a total prize of P50,796,013.

Robles said 125 other bettors would receive P24,000 each after guessing five digits of the winning combination.

The Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion or TRAIN Law imposes a 20 percent tax on lotto winnings above P10,000.
