Motorist’s license suspended over Rizal road rage

Romina Cabrera - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has suspended the license of a driver involved in a road rage incident in Rizal province early this month.

The LTO did not identfy the driver of the L-300 van, who was caught on video beating up a motorcycle rider along Felix Avenue in Cainta.

The agency said further hearings would be conducted and both drivers were ordered to explain why their licenses should not be revoked.

Renante Melitante, officer in-charge of the LTO intelligence and investigation division, said the motorists were given five days to explain why they should not be held liable for adminis-trative charges.

The owner of the L-300 van was also directed to bring the vehicle to the LTO North Motor Vehicle Inspection Center.
