BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines — Two persons died and two others were injured when a trailer truck crashed into two vehicles and rammed a sari-sari store in Barangay Bone South in Aritao town on Tuesday.

Police said Frederick del Mundo, 54, and his wife Gina, 55, were having a snack when an Isuzu trailer truck driven by Jojo Odones, 47, a resident of Barangay Caloocan in Cabatuan, Isabela, rammed the store at around 11:30 a.m.

The truck also hit a motorcycle and a sport utility vehicle (SUV) parked along the highway.

Odones and a bystander identified as Reginald Macaslam were injured.

In Davao City, Jester Yucosing, 40, the driver of the SUV involved in a hit-and-run incident on Jan. 26 that killed Ana Mae Talili, a 21-year-old working student, surrendered yesterday.

Police said the vehicle was owned by Vice Mayor John Paul Lampig of Boston town in Davao Oriental. The vice mayor was reportedly in Iloilo when the accident occurred.

Former president Rodrigo Duterte had offered a reward of P500,000 for information leading to the arrest of the driver of the vehicle.
