BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — A magnitude-5.3 earthquake jolted Boliney town in Abra and other provinces in Northern Luzon yesterday afternoon.
State seismologists said the quake was felt at Intensity 4 in Banayoyo and Vigan in Ilocos Sur, and Intensity 3 in Bangued, Abra.
Intensity 2 was felt in Baguio, Sinait in Ilocos Sur and Santiago City in Isabela.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the temblor was expected to generate damage and aftershocks.
