966 pass PNPA admission test
MANILA, Philippines — Only 966 out of 21,636 examinees have passed this year’s Philippine National Police Academy Cadet Admission Test (PNPA-CAT).
The figure represents 4.46 percent of the examinees who took the cadetship exam held from Oct. 29 to 31 at 37 testing centers nationwide.
The PNPA said it expects the number to further drop as the aspirants are subjected to physical and mental tests.
“Kapag makarating sa panel interview, mati-trim down pa yan,” PNPA spokesman Lt. Col. Louie Gonzaga said in an interview yesterday.
Gonzaga said there might be aspirants who would quit during the 45-day training for plebehood.
The current batch is composed of 686 males and 280 females. Their average age is 19 and most of them are college undergraduates. There were 560 first-time passers.
The PNPA said it would notify the successful examinees through mail.
