P3.43 million shabu seized in Parañaque

MANILA, Philippines — Police confiscated around 505 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu valued at P3.43 million during a sting in Parañaque on Friday night.

Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg, Southern Police District (SPD) director, said Eduardo Ocampo, 47; Almer Gula, 33, and Miche Chavenia, 24, were arrested during the sting in Barangay Tambo at around 10:30 p.m.

The trio allegedly negotiated a deal with a policeman posing as a drug buyer for P8,000 worth of shabu.

Also on Friday, Rodjunior Salvador, Arjie Lacanlale and Jerson Alcaraz were caught in a separate sting in Barangay Batasan Hills, Quezon City at around 6 p.m.

Police seized 20 grams of shabu with a street value of P136,000 from the suspects.

All six suspects are being held on charges of violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
