2 drown in Zambales

SAN NARCISO, Zambales, Philippines — A man and his niece drowned during a family outing in San Antonio town in this province on Friday.

The bodies of Ederson Cabral, 36, and Ashley dela Cruz, 15, both of Calumpit, Bulacan, were found by residents on the shores of San Miguel Beach in this town on Saturday morning.

The town of San Narciso is nine kilometers away from San Antonio.

Dela Cruz was discovered at around 9 a.m. while Cabral was found four hours later.

The victims were reported missing on Friday after they were swept away by the waves at around 5 p.m.
