BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Two boys died and three others were injured when their vehicle plunged into a ravine in Bontoc, Mountain Province on Thursday night.
The fatalities were identified as Fausto Ballakis Jr., 11, and Nathan James Ballakis, 4.
Fausto’s parents Jeranie and Fausto Sr. were injured and taken to the Luis Hora Memorial Regional Hospital. His brother Fernan, 18, the driver of the vehicle, was brought to the Bontoc General Hospital.
The Bontoc Emergency Operations Center received a call that a Tamaraw FX with five passengers had plunged into a 25-meter ravine in Barangay Gonogon.
Probers said the victims were on their way home to Sabangan town when the accident occurred.
