ANDA, Pangasinan, Philippines — A 12-year-old girl was hospitalized after she was hit by a stray bullet in this town on Sunday.
The victim, whose name was not immediately available, was dancing with her friends in a forested area in Barangay Poblacion when they heard gunshots. They were planning to upload their performance on social media.
The girl complained that her left ear was painful and felt blood oozing from her nape.
The victim was brought to the Bolinao Community Hospital for treatment. She was transferred to the Western Pangasinan District Hospital in Alaminos City, where surgery was performed to remove a bullet from her nape.
Probers have yet to identify the gunman.
