CABANATUAN CITY, Philippines — Three children died in a fire that razed their house in this city on Sunday.
Reports reaching Col. Jess Mendez, acting Nueva Ecija police director, identified the fatalities as Julius Gonzales, 12, and his sisters Christine Joy, 11, and Celina, 3.
Initial investigation showed the children and their father August Caezar were asleep when the fire broke out in Barangay DS Garcia at around 8:20 am.
Probers have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
