MANILA, Philippines — Four of Manila’s 17 districts did not have any active COVID cases as of Good Friday, the city government said yesterday.

Based on the city government’s latest tally, Binondo reported its last case on Thursday while it has been over a week since Ermita, Intramuros and San Miguel – where Malacañang Palace is located – had any cases.

The rest of Manila’s 17 districts recorded only single-digit active COVID-19 cases. Sta. Cruz led the list with nine; Sampaloc, eight; San Andres and Tondo 1, seven each; Tondo 2, six; Paco and Pandacan, five each; Port Area and Sta. Ana, three each; and Malate, Quiapo, San Nicolas and Sta. Mesa, one each.

So far, there were 57 active COVID-19 cases, which were included in the city’s total COVID-19 tally of 112,477 patients, with 110,523 recoveries and 1,897 deaths.
