2 die in Basilan mishap

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — Two motorcycle-riding men were electrocuted when a power post fell and hit them in Isabela, Basilan on Sunday afternoon.

Yazaad Atong and Alnaskie Adja were traveling in Barangay Cabunbata when they figured in the accident.

Atong and Adja died at the scene, probers said, adding it was raining in the area when the accident occurred.

Meanwhile, in Sultan Kudarat, three persons died while eight others were injured when their van collided with a truck in Esperanza town.

The victims were traveling along the Cotabato-Isulan Highway when they figured in the accident at the border of Laguingding and Dukay.
