Quakes rock Davao, Mindoro, Sorsogon
MANILA, Philippines — Four earthquakes shook parts of Oriental Mindoro, Davao Occidental, Davao Oriental and Sorsogon yesterday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
A magnitude-5.3 earthquake occurred at around 3:22 p.m. in Abra de Ilog, Occidental Mindoro.
The quake was felt at Intensity 3 in Puerto Galera and Calapan City, both in Oriental Mindoro, and Intensity 2 in Quezon City, Batangas City, San Jose in Occidental Mindoro, Tagaytay and Magalang in Pampanga.
A magnitude-5.2 earthquake also shook parts of Davao Occidental and nearby areas at around 5:13 a.m. It was felt at Intensity 2 in General Santos City.
Another magnitude-4.2 quake occurred in Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental at around 2:53 a.m.
It was felt at Intensity 3 in Lupon town and Tupi in South Cotabato, and Intensiy 1 in General Santos City.
Meanwhile, a magnitude-4.1 quake occurred in Donsol, Sorsogon at 9:32 a.m.
It was felt at Intensity 2 in Legazpi City, Albay.
