MALASIQUI, Pangasinan, Philippines — A barangay captain in this town was stabbed to death on Friday.
Benigno de Luna, 54, a resident of Barangay Lasip, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Malasiqui Municipal Hospital in Barangay Cabatling.
Probers said bet collector Rene Mejia discovered the body of the victim, which bore stab wounds, at around 2:20 p.m.
Police have yet to determine the motive for the killing.
