MANILA, Philippines — The office of Sen. Bong Go distributed assistance to 11,936 victims of Typhoon Odette in Carmen, Bohol from Feb. 10 to 12.

Go’s team provided meals, food packs and face masks during distribution activities held at barangay courts.

The senator also provided computer tablets, shoes and bicycles to chosen recipients.

Personnel from the Department of Social Welfare and Development distributed financial assistance to the typhoon victims while the Department of Trade and Industry and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority profiled potential recipients for their respective programs.

As chairman of the Senate committee on health, Go urged the recipients to continue to comply with health protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

He also asked them to get their COVID vaccine and booster shots.

He advised residents with health concerns to visit either the Malasakit Center at the Don Emilio del Valle Memorial Hospital in Ubay or Governor Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital in Tagbilaran City.
