P2 million drugs seized at NAIA

MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency confiscated P2 million worth of illegal drugs sent from the Netherlands and Germany.

The 1,115 ecstasy tablets, 91 grams of ecstasy crystals and 26.46 grams of ketamine were contained in five parcels left unclaimed by the consignees, identified as Cedric Linsangan of Caloocan City, Sherwin Eros of Davao City and Jenina Ramos Joaquin of Bulacan.

The parcels arrived in August and September last year at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport’s Central Mail Exchange Center in Pasay, according to BOC-CMEC sub-port collector Mark Almase’s report to BOC district collector Mimel Talusan.
