MALOLOS , Philippines — Two kilos of shabu with an estimated street value of P13.6 million were recovered from a tricycle driver from Quiapo in Manila in a sting in this city yesterday.
Abubakar Sandigan was apprehended in Barangay Tikay at around 1:35 a.m., acting Bulacan police chief Col. Manuel Lukban Jr. said in a report to Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay Jr., Central Luzon police director.
Police said two green plastic bags, which contained the illegal drugs, a mobile phone and marked money were recovered from the suspect.
Twenty other suspects were arrested in anti-narcotics operations in Bustos, Guiguinto, Hagonoy, Norzagaray, Obando, Pandi, Paombong, San Miguel and Meycauayan.
A caliber. 45 pistol, 64 sachets of shabu and marked money were among those reportedly seized from the suspects.
