Pangasinan imposes longer curfew hours

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, Philippines — In a bid to limit the movement of people amid rising cases of COVID-19, Gov. Amado Espino issued an executive order imposing longer curfew hours in the province starting yesterday.

Curfew hours in the province are from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. from the previous 9 p.m. to 4 a.m.

The provincial health office has recorded an average of 100 cases per day since Aug. 16. On Sunday, it logged 202 cases.

As of Monday, Pangasinan recorded 1,249 active cases, the highest of which was recorded in Calasiao with 119.

Dagupan City has 173 active cases.

Except for Villasis, which is under general community quarantine, the entire province remains under modified GCQ.
