DFA to resume passport services in NCR
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) will resume its consular operations in Metro Manila during the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) period.
In an advisory, the DFA said its consular offices and temporary off-site passport services facilities will be operation from Aug. 23 to 31.
Applicants whose original appointments from Aug. 6 to 20 did not push through were advised to follow the new appointment schedule and location they received via email.
Applicants with confirmed appointments from Aug. 23 to 31 were advised to follow the schedule unless they receive a specific advice not to do so due to unforeseen closure due to disinfection or mandatory quarantine.
The DFA reminded applicants that no walk-ins will be entertained.
“Those with emergency and urgent medical travel needs may send an email request to [email protected] with copies of their identification documents (current passport or if new applicant, a government-issued ID) and proof of their emergency travel,” the agency said.
“Possession of a flight ticket in itself is not considered urgent,” it added.
