BINALONAN, Pangasinan, Philippines — Some areas in this town were placed under extreme enhanced community quarantine (EECQ) effective yesterday due to new COVID cases.

Mayor Ramon Guico Jr. on Saturday issued Executive Order 175 declaring EECQ in select areas after 10 new confirmed COVID cases were reported in his jurisdiction.

Among the areas placed under EECQ were residential compounds in Zones 1 in the villages of Linmansangan and Vacante; Zone 2 in San Pablo; Zone 3 in Canarvacanan, and Zone 7 in Capas, Poblacion and Sto. Niño.

No one is allowed to enter or leave the compounds. Purchase of essential needs of the residents such as food and medicine will be handled by their barangay health emergency response teams.
