MANILA, Philippines — A Quezon City policeman was arrested after he allegedly robbed a branch of a courier company in Bulacan on Monday.

Philippine National Police chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar yesterday vowed to dismiss Cpl. Moises Yango, 29, from the service.

Eleazar ordered Quezon City Police District director Brig. Gen. Antonio Yarra to start Yango’s summary dismissal proceedings.

Police chased Yango after he allegedly robbed an LBC branch in San Miguel, Bulacan of P5,000.

Yango, who was clad in a black bonnet, entered the courier firm and declared a heist.

Police said they recovered from Yango the money he stole from the LBC. He also yielded an 8mm gun, a hand grenade and several police identification cards.
