MANILA, Philippines — At least seven motorists were injured after a driver went on a rampage along Taft Avenue in Manila on Wednesday.

The driver of a black Honda Jazz, Anthony Santos, sped off after a traffic enforcer pulled him over along Padre Faura street, according to Manila disaster risk reduction officer Arnel Angeles.

Santos, who was ticketed for swerving, ended up hitting seven cars and six motorcycles in his rampage from United Nations Avenue to Finance Road.

Michael Bini, Angela Alvarado, Miguel Leyco, Marlon Lopez, Ronald Binas and Regie Cabantug were treated by responders at the site.

Motorcycle backrider Marien Lim was brought to the hospital for head injuries after she hit the windshield of a red Mazda car, which was also rammed by Santos.

According to initial report, Angeles said a total of 17 vehicles were involved in the collision.

Santos said he lost control of his car and denied hitting the victims on purpose.
