2 hurt in attack on Cam’s resort

MANILA, Philippines — Two minors were wounded when motorcycle-riding men opened fire at a beach resort owned by Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office director Sandra Cam in Barangay Canvañes, Butuan, Masbate on Sunday.

The victims – a boy and a girl aged 9 and 14, respectively – suffered gunshot wounds in the abdomen and legs, according to town police chief Lt. Nestor Nasayao.

Cam condemned the attack, saying it was politically motivated.
