33 Bilibid inmates freed

MANILA, Philippines — A total of 33 inmates of the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City were freed on Christmas Day, the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) reported yesterday.

Of the number, the BuCor said 15 inmates were granted parole and five were aqcuitted.

Thirteen more inmates were released after they finished their prison terms, according to the BuCor.

The release order was approved by BuCor Director General Gerald Bantag.
