MANILA, Philippines — Typhoon Ulysses severely impacted the country as many Filipinos were affected and continued to be displaced after it made landfall in Luzon two weeks ago.
Responding to calls for additional help, Sen. Bong Go sent his team to the province of Isabela in North Luzon to provide assistance.
“President Duterte and I personally inspected the aftermath of Typhoon Ulysses in Tuguegarao and Solana last week. We listened to the people’s woes. Now, my staff are in Isabela to distribute the much-needed assistance,” Go said.
During a series of relief efforts conducted by the senator’s staff on Nov. 27 and 28, Go’s team was able to deliver assistance to 1,950 families in four areas in Isabela.
The first two batches of distribution were done in Barangay San Juan Hall in Cabagan and Barangay Cañogan Abajo Sur Hall in Santo Tomas.
The next two distributions were held the next day in Barangay Ragan Norte in Delfin Albano and Barangay Chapel in Tumauini.
Go’s relief team provided meals, food packs, face masks, face shields and vitamins to the families.
He urged the beneficiaries to wear the face masks and face shields provided for them, and reminded them to strictly follow health protocols to protect themselves from the coronavirus disease.
The senator’s team ensured that necessary health protocols were observed during the distribution activities to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other diseases.
