MANILA, Philippines — Two more U-Turn slots will be closed to motorists starting today, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said over the weekend.

The U-Turn slots near Oliveros Drive and Balintawak Market will be closed to traffic to give way to the EDSA busway, the MMDA said.

Motorists are advised to take alternate routes.

The Oliveros Drive and Balintawak Market U-Turn slots are the fifth and sixth to be closed by the MMDA to give way to the EDSA carousel bus route.

Despite complaints from motorists about traffic jams due to the closures, the MMDA had sealed four U-Turn slots along North Avenue, in front of the Quezon City Academy, near Corregidor street and near the Dario Bridge.
