MANILA, Philippines — Another suspect in the killing of two nurses and a nursing student in Caloocan surrendered to the Quezon City police yesterday.

Ronald Cajepe, 38, turned himself in to the Batasan police station, according to its commander Lt. Col. Romulos Gadaoni.

Cajepe is one of the suspects in the murders of student Mona Ismael, Glydel Belonio and Arjay Belencio who were found dead with stab wounds at their house in Barangay 179, Caloocan.

Another suspect, Anselmo Singkol, had surrendered to authorities in Samar.

Police declared the case solved following the surrender of the two suspects.

Gadaoni said Cajepe surrendered as the suspect wanted to clear his name after Singkol tagged him as the one who killed the victims.

“He denied the accusations of Singkol na siya ang pumatay sa mga biktima,” Gadaoni said.

Cajepe, in an interview on dzBB, said his only motive was robbery, but was shocked when Singkol allegedly stabbed the victims.
