MANILA, Philippines — The body of a man suspected to be a victim of summary execution was found floating in the Pasig River in Barangay Hulo, Mandaluyong City on Friday.
The victim, Ricardo Pabalan, was identified through a quarantine pass recovered on his person.
The victim’s body was stuffed into two sacks. Based on his quarantine pass, Pabalan was a resident of Barangay Barangka Itaas in Mandaluyong.
City police chief Col. Hector Grijaldo said an investigation is ongoing to determine the people responsible for Pabalan’s murder.
Police are still waiting for the result of the autopsy on Pabalan’s corpse.
