2 suspects caught with P136 million shabu

MANILA, Philippines — Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) confiscated yesterday an estimated 20 kilos of shabu valued at P136 million from two suspects in Parañaque.

Mangie Sotolombo, 49, and Carlos Vallente, 27, were taken into police custody.

Sotolombo and Vallente were nabbed during a drug sting along Macapagal Avenue at past 5 p.m., according to a PDEA report.

Police said the suspects yielded drugs stuffed in Chinese tea packs.

The suspects are being held by police on charges of violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
