MANILA, Philippines — The Caloocan government has installed free wireless internet connection in quarantine facilities in the city, Mayor Oscar Malapitan said over the weekend.

Malapitan said the city hall partnered with Arga-J Pure Bliss Inc., ComWorks Inc. and PLDT-Smart to install WiFi connections in quarantine sites in Dagat-Dagatan, Balay Silangan, Kanlungan, Bagumbong, DN Steel and Caloocan City North Medical Center.

This will enable quarantined patients to be in touch with their families while in isolation, Malapitan said.

The city government gave food packs to 690 families in Barangay 128, which was put on lockdown amid the rising cases of coronavirus disease 2019.
