MAGUINDANAO, Philippines – Two children died when a grenade they found in a swamp in Radjah Buayan town in this province accidentally exploded on Friday.
Police said Nash Utto and Edris Guiaman were hunting for birds in Barangay Sampao when they found the grenade and played with it.
The barangay is the site of heavy gunfights between soldiers and members of Islamic State-inspired terror groups in the past few years.
