3 dead in Bulacan, Cavite drug busts

BULACAN, Philippines — Three drug suspects were killed in stings in Bulacan and Cavite on Thursday.

Reynaldo Bagtas and Franco Pantua drew their guns when they sensed they had sold shabu to police officers who posed as buyers in Barangay Sto. Cristo, San Jose del Monte, Col. Lawrence Cajipe, acting Bulacan police director, said.

Two alleged cohorts of the fatalities were arrested.

Kimwell Legaspi allegedly shot it out with anti-narcotics agents in Barangay Muzon, Rosario.

Police said two improvised guns, a .38-caliber revolver, sachets of shabu and marked money were recovered from the fatalities.
