MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) yesterday urged the co-respondents of former senator Antonio Trillanes IV in a sedition case to surrender.

The respondents are accused of conspiracy to commit sedition in connection with an alleged ouster plot against President Duterte.

“You may coordinate with the nearest police station and turn yourselves in to authorities,”PNP spokesman Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac said in an interview over dzBB.

The Quezon City Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 138 on Friday ordered the arrest of Trillanes along with Peter Joemel Advincula, who claimed to be Bikoy in the “Ang totoong narco list” videos that implicated President Duterte in the illegal drug trade.

The court also issued a warrant for the arrest of Jonnel Sangalang, Yolanda Ong, Fr. Flaviano Villanueva, Fr. Albert Alejo, Vicente Romano III, Joel Saracho, Boom Enriquez, dismissed police official Eduardo Acierto and a woman known only as Monique.

Banac said four of the respondents, whom he did not name, have posted bail.

Advincula’s lawyer, Lorenzo Gadon, said his client would post bail this week.

Trillanes said he would face the charges when returns to Manila from his trip abroad.

Banac said police tracker teams are waiting for Trillanes to return so they could serve the warrant for his arrest.
